WEEKLY SCRIMMAGE times are posted under FLAG FOOTBALL SCHEDULE tab above

Please Practice Social Distancing and Wear your Mask
Our program will be following all restrictions and guidelines set in place by the state of Illinois. All coaches are required to wear face coverings at all times. Participants are required to wear face coverings when appropriate and practice social distancing when possible.  Parents are responsible to make sure their child is not running a temperature before sending to any program activities.  Any participant that shows signs of illness will be sent home immediately. We will be providing disinfectant stations at all scrimmages including hand sanitizer and disinfectant spray. Parents are welcome to watch practices and scrimmages from a distance while practicing social distancing. Parents are not allowed on playing fields during practices or scrimmages. Anyone not following posted and shared guidelines will be asked to vacate the premises.

During these challenging times we send our very best to our Trevian Football Community. Please continue to do your part in keeping us all safe by continuing to practice proper social distancing and wear a mask when appropriate. We want to play Ball this Fall!

Registration is CLOSED for the 2020 Fall Season

We regretfully announce the suspension of our 2020 fall tackle season. We encourage all tackle participants to checkout our new hybrid flag offering for the fall season. We remain hopeful of a spring tackle opportunity with our league if appropriate. See below message from our league if interested.

We will be offering a non-contact fall football experience that follows new state restrictions and guidelines . Concentrating on continuous football development with weekly practices and Sunday scrimmages while staying safe. Further details will be shared with our participating families.

We're Back!

Welcome to the 2020 football season. This fall marks our third season of offering both tackle and flag football to our Northshore communities. We remain committed to our goal of offering a safe and fun experience while fielding competitive teams and teaching life lessons that will benefit our young athletes for years to come.

Due to ongoing COVID-19 restrictions, there might be modifications to the following as we wait for further feedback from league organizers. Any and all guidelines and restrictions put in place by state officials and our leagues will be closely followed.

Our fall tackle season begins in late July for ages 7 thru 14 with non contact training and conditioning. Including the introduction of Heads Up blocking and tackling. In the weeks following, equipment will be distributed and teams will be formed in preparation of our preseason scrimmages and opening weekend on August 30th.

Our fall flag season will begin in late August for grades K thru 8th with weekly team practices leading up to games starting in September.  All registered flag athletes are welcome to participate in preseason non contact tackle practices leading up to the flag season. We also encourage and welcome those who might be interested in trying football for the first time to do so during this time. This is a perfect opportunity for those who might be interested in tackle football to participate in activities and meet our players and coaches. If there might be further interest in tackle, participants have the opportunity to be outfitted with equipment and participate in tackle drills and practice using this time to evaluate before the flag season begins.

We are looking forward to our upcoming season. As always, please contact us with any questions you might have. Make sure to check our website regularly for updates and like us on our Facebook page at Northshore Trevians Youth Football. There we will also post updates.

The Health and Safety of our Young Athletes is our #1 Priority

The game of football has never been safer and we continue to implement new policy creating a better and safer game. Some of our efforts include; certified trainers at all practices and games, restricting contact during weekly practices and continued investment in new tools and equipment to teach proper techniques safely such as Tackle Wheels.  All drills are age appropriate and closely monitored by our certified coaching staff. Our coaches are required to complete yearly Heads Up Football certification, Advance Concussion Awareness and attend Positive Coaching Alliance orientation . Our league, TCYFL has one of the strictest safety policies in the country. We continue to be a leader in improving our game to make it safer. Most recently our league has adopted new modified kickoff rules. Our sport of football is truly changing to become a much safer game. We invite you to come visit us at practice and see what Northshore Trevians Football is all about.
